The Adventures of Kayaking

*To begin with these events and pictures come from a two days ago but my camera wasn't working until just this morning.*
Hey guys and happy second week of July! Along with some pictures of my outfit, I have something important to discuss with all of you: kayaking. But first, the outfit. This isn't what I worn for kayaking (I'm not an idiot) but this was my outfit for the dinner afterwards. I wore: a cropped tank from Free People, a $5 skirt I picked up at a random store, a black jean jacket from Forever 21, and my docs. For anyone wanting a cropped tank, I'd recommend them but keep in mind they make your shoulders looked slouched. If you're like me and you don't have the best posture, I recommend wearing something over the tank so that it isn't as obvious.
Now onto the more serious topic: kayaking. I don't know how many of you have ever been kayaking but kayaking in the ocean is the scariest thing ever. First of all you are kayaking amongst seals, sea lions, and sharks, any of which could easily knock you over into the dark, mucky water. Second, unless you are quite fond of murky water and sea life, you might get a scare if a wet sea lion head suddenly pops up in the water a foot from your head (don't forget you are in a kayak not a boat). I personally just closed my eyes and paddled back to the dock in record time.
Kayaking in the ocean is a different story then kayaking in a river or pond (which I've done before and loved). There are hundreds of more feet (I don't know if that's proper English) and millions of more creatures. In conclusion don't kayak in the ocean unless you are brave (or my little sister).
xoxo, Paloma
