I decided that for today's post, I'd mix it up just a little bit! In the past I have done a post on layering along with many posts on outfits and today I decided to pa-zazz it a little and do a post on the four seasons of a little black dress. What I mean by that (in case you don't get it get) is that I created four outfits- one for each of the four seasons-that all have a LBD in common (little black dress). Ready? Ok let's bounce.
The first season is bare. Just kidding I just wanted to let you all know where the dress is from and why its a good dress. This dress is from Heavenly Couture, a store where everything is $16 or less. I love this dress with all my heart because it is slimming, and is still original and very me (hence the polka-dot sheer part that goes everywhere). I would seriously recommend that everyone own a LBD that works for your body type because you can wear them with everything (examples to come).
Ok so the real first season is fall. I'm starting with this because I love fall, and the idea of layering, so naturally that is what this outfit consisted of. Along with the LBD we have: a scarf from Charlotte Russe, a denim shirt from Zara, a camo shirt/jacket from Forever 21, a hat from Forever 21, and Doc Martens. This outfit is all about the layering and if you go to my school don't be surprised if you see me wearing this (minus the hat) in the near future.
Along comes the spring! A season full of blooming flowers, misty mornings, and secret candy stashes. Ok so the third may not really fit but oh well. Although the look I created may look a little more summer than spring, just imagine wearing this outfit in like mid May. A LBD, a fringe skirt from Buffalo Exchange, heels from Melrose, my mom's necklace, and some bright red lipstick create a bright and bubbly atmosphere that basically just reminds me of the Caribbean and candy. And when you're that close to summertime, those things are good things to be reminded of. The shirt is very freeing due to the fringe, so if you like feeling like you're a dancer in the "what time is it" scene from High School Musical 2, I would seriously recommend fringe for you.
And voila! A season that I could have right now-summer! I mean don't we all want to have summer and more summer forever and ever? Yeah I thought so. This outfit consisted of the LBD, a red cover-up from Anthropologie, my mom's gold shirt (shhh I wasn't supposed to tie it around my waist), gold sandals from a boutique called Miss Meers, and sunglasses from the 99 cents store. Basically summer in a nutshell. The red and golds remind me of a sunset, and the only time I have time to watch sunsets is in movies and during summer. Logic right?
I hope you all enjoyed today's post and I'd love any feedback you guys have!
xoxo, Paloma
