We are back again and it is a lovely cold Tuesday here in southern California. I was unable to post on Saturday due to the fact that I was at an all day conference, but I have returned today with a long awaited sequel to the Sisterhood of the "Fancy" Pants. And yes I know the obvious question is wondering why I didn't post the sequel the day after part 1 came out but guess what? Like all movie series, the sequels take forever.
Alas, here I am again sitting in a leather chair with about a billion blankets because today, Mother Nature decided to become bipolar and give us actual winter weather. And by winter weather, I don't mean actual winter weather (shoutout to those currently in Chicago) but rather a really cold Californian winter. Yes, I know, how terrible. Instead of the normal extremely short shorts and flip flops, we were forced to bring out our jeans and sweatshirts. Tragic.
Now considering I was forced to bring out my jeans and long sleeved shirts, that's exactly what I incorporated into today's post. I discovered a really great store today (pay attention if you live in the Los Angeles area) called R. Chameleon/On the Main. This store basically takes all designer clothes and sells it at a discounted price (they specialize in Free People). I actually purchased the shirt I wore in today's post at this store and guess what? It was originally $148 but I got this baby for only $59.
Enough rambling from me, and onto the actual outfit. To continue with the "fancy" pants trend, I first took my favorite Alice in Wonderland inspired jeans from Forever 21. These pants are very easy to wear and actually seem to go with almost any other patterns that you yearn to wear. The pattern that I yearned to wear with these pants came in the form of an embroidered tunic from Free People. This tunic is a younger/ more modern version of just a basic tunic. I added the necessary seven inch heels (which results in a 5 foot 8 version of myself) and since the hair was being untame-able, I added the ballet bun which I almost always have. To finish off the look, I added my Blair Waldorf headband from Anthropologie which basically just puts me in that Upper East side of Manhattan within seconds.
Until Saturday!
xoxo, Paloma
