Hi everyone! It is Tuesday, and therefore a blog post day. As for this weekend, I have a special treat. This weekend's blog post will take place in San Fransisco and therefore will be filled with new fashions, culture, and obviously some pictures of the amazing city that we call San Fran.
Now for today's post, I journeyed into the depths of Los Angeles/Beverly Hills area for today's post and although the background for this post is just a dark brown fence, there is much more than meets the eye.
To start out with, I'd like to show you all a quote from the movie The Beach (starring my boy Leo who I still thinks deserves an Oscar): "I still believe in paradise, But now I know it's not someplace you can look for, Because it's not where you go, It's how you feel for a moment in your life when you're a part of something. And if you find that moment, it lasts forever." Now you are all probably wondering how this quote relates at all to this post, and I won't lie, I was questioning myself too for the first three seconds of this sentence. But I, and soon hopefully you, now understand. When you, or if you visit Los Angeles, you get a real feeling of being a part of something. Maybe it 's the fact that this is where Hollywood is, and it is the basis for so much creativity, but either way a real sense of community comes out in you. And maybe that is just me and you all think I'm insane and that I'm just mumbling. Nevertheless, when you are driving down Sepulveda and you see all the lights and the beach and you realize that you are in the city of angels, something just clicks. That, I've come to realize, is my paradise.
Now to be completely honest I don't think that had anything to do with anything but I felt a need to share and who wouldn't want to hear some wise words from Mr. I Deserve An Oscar? My point exactly.
For this post, I wore a simple, yet outlandish outfit. I wore shorts from Topshop (could be considered a skort) if you wanna, come n buy and click here and a blue velvet crop top that also doubles as a turtleneck (hot/cold?). For shoes I wore my gold gladiator shoes and my lovely toes are painted a dark crimson purple. Since I added a link for the skort, I thought I'd do a lil review. I absolutely love these shorts/skirt for three simple reasons: 1. they are so so cute, 2. they are comfortable and chic, 3. they scream summer. So if you are need of shorts (or even a skort), I'd recommend buying them.
If any of you do end up buying these shorts, feel free to let me know what you think of them!
xoxo, Paloma
Thanks for the link! Love the shorts, love the post.
