The Show Must Go On

With the Academy Awards on tomorrow night, this post was originally supposed to be about what one could wear to the Oscars...until I realized I don't have any long ball gowns. The other issue came up when it actually started raining...in California...on a Saturday. So, although we had a few setbacks, it all worked out fine in the end.
Miranda came to model for me today, and considering she is going to an actual party for the Academy Awards, we decided to stick with that idea and just make it less formal. We had originally planned to do two looks each but with the rain and the lack of time Miranda had, we each did one.
Miranda's look was actually incredibly similar to what she is actually wearing to her Academy Awards party. She wore a light pink silver dress from ModCloth.com, tall black heels from Nordstromsm, a headband from Anthropologie, and a cropped jacket from Anthropologie. Her look was very cute and colorful and perfect for a not-too-formal enviroment. I put her hair up in a bun minus a few curled strands and added some blue eyeliner to make her eyes pop.

For my look, I went a bit more formal and decided to pair a vintage black jumpsuit, with a embroidered sheer jacket and silver shiny heels. For my hair, Miranda took the liberty of straightening my hair and doing my makeup. She added blue eyeliner to my eyes and a sparkly headband to my hair. My look was overall much fancier and would be worn to a fancier event.

Thank you all for reading and I hope you all enjoyed today's post!
xoxo, Paloma
